Having spent much of his early career at IBM UK, Rob Mannion had an unfulfilled desire to create and run his own business and in 2009 founded RNF Digital Innovation Ltd, later to be rebranded as b2b.store - one of the UK's fastest growing eCommerce platforms.
“I always felt passionate about the potential new technologies had on revolutionising the business environment” Rob says.
Along with his brother and Co-Founder Mike, the business won many accolades supporting several large forward thinking organisations including Bridgestone Tyres and Calor Gas with ground-breaking mobile focussed solutions, but soon gained traction in the UK Wholesale sector after having developed the UK’s first mobile ordering app for one of the UK's biggest wholesalers, Bestway Cash & Carry who still remain a client to this day.
In 2018 we recognised an opportunity which we felt we could fill in that there were relatively few B2B focussed eCommerce platforms on the market. The landscape consisted of overly complicated expensive offerings, or SaaS eCommerce platforms that were more focussed on B2C eCommerce, with the B2B use case appearing to be somewhat of an afterthought.
In February 2019 the first line of code was written for what ultimately became the b2b.store eCommerce platform and in 2020 our first clients went live. Just 12 months later, Dale Jefferson, Chief Architect of b2b.store had successfully deployed a highly robust and scalable SaaS platform used by an ever increasing number of businesses, in multiple sectors and geographies around the world.
