Food and drink wholesalers are now armed with industry-specific AI advice following the publication of a new guide published by Mars Wrigley and b2b.store.
The two brands have joined forces to produce the Introducing AI in Wholesale brochure to help wholesalers navigate discussions around AI technologies – understanding what it is, what it means to them, how it can be used and the most important actions to take to protect their business.
The 16-page brochure is the first of its kind and has been designed to provide impartial advice that can be actioned quickly to raise industry standards.
As part of this, interviews with TWG Joint Managing Director Tom Gittins, JW Filshill Simon Hannah and Unitas Wholesale Digital Marketing Manager Claire Taylor appear in the brochure to speak about AI usage currently in the sector.
The guide will be distributed by Mars Wrigley to key wholesale customers and made available to download for free on the b2b.store website.
The Introducing AI in Wholesale guide is the fourth eB2B Playbook that Mars Wrigley and b2b.store have produced together as part of an industry-leading collaboration that is helping wholesalers become more digitally savvy.
Previous guides have covered subjects including WhatsApp Business API, perfect content for online ordering and quick commerce, with AI the latest hot topic to be broken down into easy-to-understand guidance that can be followed to make a tangible difference to performance.
“The eB2B Playbooks are so valuable in a wholesale industry that requires specialist understanding of how it operates and the challenges businesses face to get real results – we’re providing something highly relevant and practical,” said b2b.store CEO Rob Mannion.
“AI can appear daunting for wholesalers and individuals, so giving the topic a similar treatment now provides a clear path forward for businesses to prepare for the future, make the most of commercial opportunities and make sure they’re not vulnerable to new threats.”
