More businesses take advantage of cost-saving payment solution in battle against card transaction fees

b2b.store has signed up two more brands to its B2B Open Banking service, with the additions of Bramble Foods and Benoli.

The duo takes the number of users of the service into double figures, with more expected to be signed in the coming weeks.

Bramble Foods is a fine, ambient foods supplier and delivers its goods across the UK and Ireland, and with a turnover of £50 million will benefit from reducing the amount the business pays in fees associated with processing card transactions.

Benoli is a wholesaler that specialises in selling alcohol, food and consumable products, and is already a b2b.store customer, using the eCommerce platform.

“It’s brilliant to add two more businesses to our B2B Open Banking portfolio and we look forward to working with Bramble Foods and Benoli to reduce payment costs across their businesses,” said CEO Rob Mannion.

“Both businesses were very interested in the ability to offer open banking in-depot, as part of remote telesales operations and on delivery, and it goes to show where the value lies for wholesalers and suppliers that sell their products in a variety of ways.”

B2B Open Banking is continuing to add new features, with the service now able to be used in various payment points across a B2B operation, including in-depot, remotely for telesales teams, on delivery and online.

Among the customers b2b.store already has on its books, a handful have decided to introduce open banking payments across every payment point, whereas others have cherry picked two or three to focus on as key areas to reduce cost.

Mannion is proud to offer such a diverse solution that customers can tailor to their specific needs and believes this one of the key USPs for the service going forward.

“It’s so important to adapt to the business in front of you and we know a one-size-fits-all approach isn’t right for a lot of wholesalers, even if they work in the same industry,” Mannion added.

“This is one of the key reasons why B2B Open Banking is a standalone product that’s independent of our other modules, so it can be picked up and introduced quickly into a business with the minimum possible integration.”
